New Fiat Idea offers a new family E.torQ engines, 1.6 16V and 1.8 16V, that the technical department at FPT developed – Powertrain Technologies. Flex-fuel (runs on a mixture of ethanol and gasoline) and 16-valve engine that brings together high performance, efficiency and low emissions and noise, and greater reliability and durability. Now, customers from seven new version of Fiat Idea surface selection: There are three engines (Fire 1.4, 1.6 16V and 16V E. Torq 1.8), four trim levels (quite interesting, gasoline, sports and adventure) and two transmissions – manual or five-speed automatic transmission Dualogic ®.
1.6 16V engine provides 115 kW of power E.torQ full petrol version only with gasoline and 117 hp on ethanol. Its maximum torque – 16.2 and 16.8 kgfm with gasoline with ethanol kgfm – is at 4500 rpm. Flex 1.8 16V 130 kW and 132 kW power cut gasoline with ethanol. Peak torque, 18.4 kgfm (petrol) and 18.9 kgfm (ethanol) is 4500 rpm.
Torque curve of the two engines is very good. At 1500 rpm they are minutes away from production and 80% of maximum torque at 2500 rpm, 93% of maximum strength. This will ensure a greater license to ensure that drives with much pleasure and comfort and security pass.
